The unbalanced third eye chakra shows up as delusion, false perception, overthinking, and an inability to see the bigger picture. Lack of restful healthy sleep is also recognized.

Perception

Anthony Peake starts his book, “Opening The Doors to Perception” with a simple idea. We perceive our location from the view of ‘I”. He later goes on to say that “The ‘I’ is the focal point of all these stimuli- the receiver and processor of the information.”
Moving from this perception, you start to recognize that where you are is the first step to the awareness of where you’re going, where you’ve been and your assumption of where you should be. Moving forward with the awareness that I am a total of mind, body and spirit, this breaks into 9 different totals to factor into my awareness.
The past Mind - The past Body - The past Spirit
The present Mind - The present Body - The present Spirit
The future Mind - The future Body - The future Spirit
The sum of these make up the “I”, the perception of who I am (Present), was (Past), and will be/should be (Future).
Let’s move forward.
Peake says “The reason we believe this ‘reality’ to be ‘real’ is that others, by their own independent actions, confirm it.”
When we focus on today’s norm of romanticizing delusions, we see that there is a truth to the radical denial of reality as we, individually and collectively perceive it.
The idea that delusion is a negative concept is not true. Delusion has the capacity to be anything with the right intent. With this, what limits us from using delusions to benefit ourselves instead of jumping into denial and cycles of “delulu is the solulu” where we romanticize denying reality as a solution to dealing with it?
To use delusion to benefit ourselves, we first must identify the moving pieces of the bigger picture. This taps into past, present, and future. Imagine this as puzzle. The ideal reality you’d like to live is the complete puzzle picture.
To challenge yourself to see the complete picture as something that aligns with your ideal reality, you can change the pieces of the puzzle.
To do so, you must first recognize if its a corner piece (past spirit) or a middle piece (present mind). This shows up as traits you think will get you to that reality, I.e. if you’re choosing to use delusions to bring forward a significant partner, you can recognize that you’re loyal.
If in the past, you’ve been around people who have betrayed their friends, and this misled you to believe that friendships are unfaithful, a past spirit perception affected the present mind.
To identify the needed balance, we ask, “Why do I believe friends are unfaithful” “What does infidelity mean to me?” “Why/ how do I feel affected by other’s infidelity?” this helps create the present mind, the mental strength to recognize red flags, recognize coping skills and self concept.
Another example of this within the body is if you’re past experience of unfaithful friends made your chest heavy or your throat close up, you use that awareness to connect that to things you feel presently; perceiving an experience you’ve felt before, and deciding to recognize a pattern.
This is a practice, an intentional awareness of how you perceive reality based on past experiences, present circumstances and an ideal future vision.
Once we get that down, we the can start changing the puzzle pieces, identifying that you’ve commonly been surrounded by unfaithful people, you can choose to claim to yourself, “I am only surrounded by loyalty.” With this, even if you, individually and collectively agree that you are surrounded by infidelity, you deny that reality and choose to ONLY see loyalty In your circle.
This can be best understood as the Red Car Theory (also known as the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon or Frequency Illusion) which alludes that, after noticing something specific, you start seeing it more frequently. With this, we wrap up the concept of balanced perception of self, “I”, reality and healthy delusion.
